The Bower Artist in Residency

As part of our commitment to supporting the community in their reuse & repair endeavors we've thrown open our workshop doors for the first Artist in Residence at The Bower. We like to call him David McGuinness.

David is a sculptor, with much of his work being created from found objects, industria and Bowery bits and pieces. He has lots of work on his website Curious Objects Gallery.

We fell in love with his apparent knack for for creating playful balancing acts of light.

Over the next 6 months David will have The Bower Workshop door open on Sundays while he's working, so you can stop by and see what's happening in person. You'll also find ongoing info on the bower blog, as David develops a collection of work for an exhibition mid year.
